The first goal of LIVE TOGETHER is to respect the landscape and natural resources of Bergen.
These two aspects, together with the ethical value of a Co-housing project are the main core of the design process.
Taking inspiration from the surrounding area we designed two courtyards which are composed on the north-east side of residential buildings and on the south-west side of services and facilities. Each floor has common spaces, terraces and gardens for the inhabitants; furthermore in the courtyard there are urban gardens available for the new inhabitants. The new Waterfront and the district’s market completes the new public spaces of Møllendal West. They are designed as part of the waterside promenade system and can be used by all the citizens of Bergen and for different kind of activities.
